Project Coordinator
Job Description: Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing the youth substance abuse prevention work plan for the JDSAC Drug Free Communities Support Program including coordinating day-to-day project activities, serving as a liaison with external data manager, working with sector representatives and youth action team to implement prevention activities and strategies.
Major Responsibilities:
•Coordinate JDSAC DFCSP services and activities.
•Convene JDSAC meetings, engaging sector representatives, youth and other community stakeholders.
•Conduct outreach to the community as it relates to identifying the youth substance abuse prevention and collaboration needs of the community.
•Facilitating the Strategic Prevention Framework with coalition members to enable ongoing strategic planning.
•Developing and implementing a comprehensive communications plan to keep the community informed about needs, initiatives and progress towards outcomes.
•Identify community resources, organizations, grants, and other program opportunities related to services that would further JDSAC’s mission and increase sustainability.
•Represent agency at meetings with external partners and stakeholders to expand collaboration, broaden community partnerships, and increase awareness of JDSAC in the general Jeff Davis community.
•Implement community-level change strategies that address factors that put youth at risk for substance abuse, including tobacco, alcohol and prescription drugs, and increase access to protective factors that reduce or buffer risk factors in the community.
•Compile and track data and other information for process and outcome evaluation and reports.
•Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•BA or BS in Public Health, Sociology, Anthropology, Education, or related field.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse partners.
•Ability to self-motivate, initiative project activities, and manage multiple tasks.
•Experience in planning and organizing groups.
•Experience working with youth and in rural communities.
•Fluency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
•Previous experience in youth substance abuse prevention and coalition-building preferred.
